Scope & independence
Consulting, internal audit and certification are three different things.
LEAPVG provides consulting, implementation support and internal audit services. We are not an ISO certification body, and nothing on this site should be read as a certification decision or a claim of accreditation. Where LEAPVG has advised on or implemented a management system, we are transparent about that history when subsequently asked to provide internal audit or assurance work. The scope of independence is set out in the engagement terms, not assumed. Formal certification requires engagement with an accredited certification body.
Where a matter involves legal interpretation, we recommend engaging a qualified legal practitioner: LEAP Compliance provides compliance advisory, not legal advice.
LEAP ISO · Internal audit
Internal audit that gives management clarity.
Internal auditing should do more than identify non-conformities. A well-designed
audit gives management useful evidence about whether systems are working, where
risks exist, and where improvement can create value.
01 · Planning
Audit planning
Risk-based and system-based audit programs, scoped to what matters most to the organization.
02 · Execution
Audit execution
Structured audits conducted against applicable criteria, with evidence gathered systematically.
03 · Findings
Findings
Evidence, observations, non-conformities and improvement opportunities, clearly documented.
04 · Reporting
Reporting
Concise findings and practical recommendations, written for the people who will act on them.
05 · Follow-up
Follow-up
Corrective actions reviewed for effectiveness, with support for continual improvement.
Our internal audit programs are informed by ISO 19011:2026,
the international guidance for auditing management systems, covering audit
principles, the management of audit programs, and the conduct of management-system
audits.
Why LEAPVG
Principles, not adjectives.
Practical
Practical
Recommendations should work in the operating environment, not simply look good on paper.
Evidence-led
Evidence-led
Assessments and recommendations are grounded in evidence, structured analysis and professional judgment.
Integrated
Integrated
We consider management systems, governance, compliance, risk and organizational performance as connected elements.
Proportionate
Proportionate
Systems should be appropriate to the organization's size, complexity, risk profile and objectives.
Improvement-focused
Improvement-focused
Our aim is not simply to identify gaps, but to help organizations understand what should happen next.
Built for the long term
Systems that hold up over years, not just through the next assessment.
Management-systems philosophy
Management systems should support the organization, not become the organization.
Effective management systems provide structure without creating unnecessary
complexity. LEAPVG focuses on practical systems that are understood by the people
who use them, aligned with organizational objectives, and capable of being
maintained over time. Whether the objective is certification readiness,
compliance, risk management, assurance or performance improvement, the system
should ultimately support better organizational outcomes.
Our approach
Understand → Assess → Improve → Assure
Scope, criteria and deliverables are settled at the outset, so findings are
never a surprise and the cost of the work is understood in advance.
01
Understand
We begin by understanding the organization, its objectives, operating environment, stakeholders, risks and obligations.
02
Assess
We assess current systems, processes, controls and performance against agreed criteria.
03
Improve
We identify practical opportunities, prioritize actions and support implementation where appropriate.
04
Assure
We evaluate whether improvements and management systems are operating effectively and identify opportunities for continual improvement.
People behind the process
Every engagement is led by the people doing the work, not handed off to a template.

LEAPVG Insights
Practical perspectives, not filler.
Practical perspectives on management systems, assurance, compliance, governance
and organizational improvement, written when we have something specific to say,
not on a content calendar.
ISO & Management Systems
The system that only works the week before the audit
Documentation written to satisfy an assessor rarely survives contact with
daily work. The failure is structural: procedures describe an idealized
process, records are created retrospectively, and ownership sits with
whoever prepared the file rather than whoever does the work. The fix is to
write at the level of detail the team will sustain, and to generate evidence
inside the process rather than after it.
Internal Audit & Assurance
Gap assessment and implementation are not the same purchase
A gap assessment measures the distance between where you are and what a
standard requires. It does not close that distance. Most of the value, and
most of the cost, sits in the implementation that follows: deciding which
controls are proportionate, assigning ownership, and testing whether the
arrangement holds. Buying the first and assuming it delivers the second is
the most common reason certification timelines slip.
Compliance & Governance
Evidence, not intent, is what a review should test
A rigorous review tests what can be demonstrated, not what was intended. A
finding should always name the criterion applied and the evidence examined,
because that is what makes it possible to challenge. Where a finding cannot
be traced to both, it is an opinion rather than a finding, and you are
entitled to say so.

Common questions
Before you reach out.
Do you provide ISO certification?
No. LEAPVG provides consulting, implementation support and internal audit services. We are not an ISO certification body, and nothing on this site should be read as a certification decision. Formal certification requires engagement with an accredited certification body.
If LEAPVG helped implement our system, can you also audit it?
We're transparent about that history. Internal assurance work that follows our own advisory or implementation input is scoped and disclosed accordingly, so management understands exactly what kind of assurance it represents. For certification purposes, we recommend an accredited, independent certification body.
How is an engagement scoped and priced?
Scope, criteria and deliverables are agreed before fieldwork begins. You receive a defined method, an understood cost and a realistic timeline, so findings are never a surprise.
Do you work on-site or remotely?
Both. Engagements are remote-first by design, with on-site work by arrangement where it adds value.
Can I engage a single practice, or do I need all five?
Either. Each practice is engaged individually or in combination, always under one scope and one point of accountability.
Do you provide legal advice?
No. LEAP Compliance provides compliance advisory: helping you understand obligations and build practical frameworks. For formal legal advice, we recommend engaging a qualified legal practitioner.
What do I receive at the end?
An evidence-based assessment, prioritized recommendations with named ownership and timeframes, and, where relevant, documentation written for the people who operate the system.
